Tokyo Revengers Synopsis: Takemichi Hanagaki’s second year of middle school was the highest point in his life. He had respect, a gang of friends he could count on, and even a girlfriend. But that was twelve years ago. Today, he’s a nobody: a washed-up nonentity made fun of by children and always forced to apologize to his younger boss. A sudden news report on the Tokyo Manji Gang’s cruel murder of the only girlfriend he ever had alongside her brother only adds insult to injury. Half a second before a train ends his pitiful life for good, Takemichi flashes back to that same day twelve years ago, when he was still dating Hinata Tachibana.

After being forced to relive the very same day that began his downward spiral, Takemichi meets Hinata’s younger brother. Without thinking, he admits to his seeming death before flashing back to the past. Takemichi urges him to protect his sister before inexplicably returning to the future. Miraculously, he isn’t dead. Stranger still, the future has changed. It seems as though Takemichi can alter the flow of time. Given the chance to prevent his ex-girlfriend’s tragic death at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Takemichi decides to fly through time to change the course of the future.

Will Tokyo Revengers get a season 2?

At the time of writing, Liden Films had not officially renewed Tokyo Revengers for a second season, but fans should remain hopeful that the anime series will return.
About till chapter 73 of volume 8, episode 24 was adapted. The good news for fans is that 24 volumes and 223 chapters have been released in Japan as of September 28th, which means that there should be enough source material for at least two more anime seasons!
While no official announcement has yet been made, some fans are predicting that season 2 will be announced during the Tokyo Revengers special event on December 18th in Japan.

Takemichi meets the gang leader on the hospital’s roof shortly after saving Draken and being entrusted with Mikey’s very first Toman uniform. Mikey is reflective and wonders why certain events, such as Kiyomasa’s attempted murder of Draken, have occurred. Most of all, he’s intrigued by Takemichi’s seeming ability to stay one step ahead of everyone else. Takemichi is uneasy, not knowing how much Mikey knows, but he doesn’t investigate the idea further.

Even if Mikey shakes it off, he knows Takemichi is different. At the very least, Mikey understands that he has a friend who can be relied on. It’s unknown whether he’ll accept Takemichi’s claim that he’s a time traveler tho.
